Our Community Is Our Campus.
Senses Yoga School is a decentralized, community-centered educational ecosystem. Its mission is to cultivate individuals and communities through contemplative education rooted in the traditions of yoga and expressed through practice, inquiry, relationship, and service.
Education beyond four walls.
We inherit questions as well as practices.
Senses Yoga School is rooted in the traditions of yoga and informed by Vedic philosophy and arts. We approach that inheritance with reverence, inquiry, and responsibility rather than using it as surface decoration.
Traditional teachings meet lived experience through embodied practice, reflection, dialogue, creative expression, ecology, and service. The aim is not to imitate another time. It is to practice carefully enough that wisdom can become ethical action now.
Present ecosystem and long-term vision
Today, Senses Yoga School grows through community partnerships, public practice, parks, gardens, educational programs, and shared leadership across Milwaukee. The community is our campus, and that campus can grow through relationships rather than buildings alone.
Our long-term vision includes developing international service-learning opportunities with community partners in India, Mexico, countries across Africa, and Brazil. These future pathways may connect the Heroic Yogi Apprenticeship with ecological stewardship, community foodways, cultural exchange, and supervised field placements, guided by local leadership, reciprocity, and the needs of host communities.
These international opportunities are aspirations under development, not currently established placements or travel programs. A sanctuary-centered physical space also remains a longer-term possibility rather than a facility the school currently possesses.
Luan Seguim-Arnold
Founder & Executive Director
Luan’s journey began across cultures—born in Brazil and raised in the United States—and was shaped first through the arts, then through community and environmental work.
His path into yoga deepened through sustained self-practice and study with teachers connected to Rishikesh, India, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From that practice grew Senses Yoga School: a community-centered ecosystem active in parks, marketplaces, faith communities, gardens, and partner settings.
His approach brings traditional yogic principles into contemporary community life through accessible practice, contemplative education, ecological stewardship, and leadership rooted in service.
